From smart moulding to 3D printing technologies, Asiamold Select – Guangzhou 2025’s fringe programme to present the latest advancements in mould making and processing

20 Jan 2025

From 25 – 27 February 2025, Asiamold Select – Guangzhou will return to Hall 3.1 of the China Import and Export Fair Complex to showcase the latest innovations in moulding, die-casting, stamping and 3D printing technologies. The exhibition will showcase a wide range of equipment, materials and solutions across a combined 20,000 sqm of floor space, together with co-located event Guangzhou Industrial Technology. Meanwhile, the fair’s well acclaimed fringe programme will return to address some of the most important trends in the mould making industry, from digitalisation and smart moulding to developments in additive manufacturing (AM) for mould production.

Since its debut in 2007, Asiamold Select – Guangzhou has consistently adapted to meet the needs of manufacturers in the region. In 2013, the fair expanded its scope to cover AM technologies, recognising the growing use of 3D printing in mould making. Today, visitors will find these technologies featured prominently alongside a wide range of precision, stamping, die-casting and injection moulds, machine tools, cutting equipment, pattern-making and prototyping solutions and more.

Beyond showcasing these technologies on the show floor, the fair delivers industry expertise through its annual fringe programme, advancing knowledge of AM, automation and other technologies transforming modern mould making. Well-received in past editions, the 2025 programme will once again bring together industry experts, academics and business leaders to present on new technologies, trends and developments in the market, keeping manufacturers at the cutting edge of industry developments. Highlighted 2025 sessions include:

3D Printing Technologies in Mould Making Summit
This forum will explore the current and potential applications of additive manufacturing in mould production. Case studies and technical discussions will address the applications of 3D printing technologies in rapid prototyping, mould insert production, cooling channel design and more, addressing both cost and efficiency impacts.

Smart Moulding Industry Summit – Digital Applications Session
Organised by the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology Fok Ying Tung Research Institute, this session will examine the use of automation and digital technologies in mould manufacturing. Under the theme “digitalisation, informatisation and precision manufacturing”, presenters will offer insights and explore practical applications relevant to the moulding and plastics industries.

Smart Moulding Industry Summit – Scientific Injection Moulding Session
In this session, industry experts will examine scientific approaches to injection moulding, from initial product development through to production. Topics will cover mould flow analysis, mould design, tool manufacturing, and injection moulding processes, focusing on early risk mitigation, process control parameters and production performance.

In addition to Asiamold Select – Guangzhou, visitors will also have the opportunity to attend two concurrent shows at the complex: SPS – Smart Production Solutions Guangzhou, featuring state-of-the-art automation and digital manufacturing solutions, and Guangzhou Industrial Technology, presenting a wide selection of smart industrial technologies. The three-in-one format allows visitors to explore complementary technologies across all shows, discovering digitalisation and automation solutions that could benefit their operations.

Asiamold Select – Guangzhou is organised by Guangzhou Guangya Messe Frankfurt Co Ltd and Guangdong Die & Mould Industry Association, and forms a part of a series of international events including:
